HERE ARE 7 SIMPLE STEPS
– Call the library where you want to show the film. Ask for the person who is in charge of scheduling Community Events for Adults. Explain that April is Homeopathy Awareness Month and there is a nationwide effort to screen the documentary. Tell them you’d like to show the film followed by a Q&A session. Make sure they have a DVD player, projector, good sound system a room to screen the film and seating.
– Find out if they have a budget for purchasing educational DVDs. If so, ask them to order the DVD. Send this order link to the library coordinator. The library will own the DVD to be used for circulation after the event. The Library Use cost is $125. If this cost is too high for your local library, find out what funds they have for DVD acquisitions and what they are willing to pay. If they have no budget allocated for educational DVDs at all, Contact Just One Drop. We will do our best to find a solution.
- Schedule a day and time in April. The film runs 77 minutes. With the Q&A the event would last for up to two hours. Ask for that block of time.
– Write to Just One Drop to add your event to their online calendar and be included in our Homeopathy Awareness Month promotions. We will send you a hosting kit with promotional and marketing materials.
- Share this event with your networks. Most libraries are great at getting the word out to their patrons but you can do more. Social media is a great option – create a Facebook event for your screening.. Send out emails to your lists. Send press releases to your local press. Add your event to local calendars.
– A week before the screening, check in with the library to make sure they received the DVD and are ready for your event.
– Show up. Enjoy the event and have a good time spreading the word about homeopathy!
